Meet Your Therapist

Welcome to Spill The Tea Therapy. I’m Emmie and I’m so glad you’re here.

I partner with people across Australia who are ready to trade the daily grind of survival mode for a life that feels genuinely alive. My approach is compassionate, human and actionable. No one-size-fits-all here - your story is unique, and your support should be too.

We will focus on both mind and body, drawing from a vibrant mix of proven evidence based modalities - including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema and Somatic Therapy. Whether we are untangling the knots of anxiety, healing from trauma, or rewriting your relationship with food and body, you will walk away with concrete strategies to reclaim your life.

Before opening my private practice I worked with various charities helping individuals navigate crisis, addiction and complex mental health. As a non-traditional therapist with a performing arts background, I love to dopamine dress and follow joy with a sense of wonder. I believe deeply in the shining brilliance of my clients, and I am here to help you tap back into yours.

Spill the tea with me today and let’s take life one sip at a time. I look forward to hearing from you.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT Involves a range of exercises aimed at retraining your thoughts feelings and behaviours and physical stress response. CBT rests on the idea that thoughts and perceptions influence behaviour.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

DBT helps individuals build distress tolerance and develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions and improve their relationship with others.

Mindfulness

Consciously bringing awareness to the here and now with guided meditation, deep breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.

Schema Therapy

Schema Therapy is designed to address unmet childhood needs and maladaptive schemas that have resulted. By exploring the root cause individuals can re-parent their inner child, self sooth, manage their emotions and live a more balanced life.

Solution Focussed Therapy (SFT)

SFT is a goal orientated positive psychology approach that focusses on solutions, not problems enabling clients to construct solutions making meaningful sustainable changes.
